The Yorkshire coast is an impressive place. From a cycling point of view the sea is just one large barrier. A scenic obstruction, granted, but ultimately a windy place where your bike ride ends. Leaving the bike in the garage and whipping out the tiniest running shorts you own unlocks miles of coastal path. Often a coastal route ends up being out and back but upon finding a peninsular such as Flamborough Head sea views can provide a suitable distraction from the effort of the endless staircases descending and then ascending the numerous coves that feature nearly all the way around.
Excuse the sweat soaked lens.
